Optimal Foetal Positioning

Helping guide your baby into the best position before birth can make a big difference to your labour.

Ideally, your baby should be in the anterior position which is when your baby's back is facing your belly. This allows the babies head to fit into the pelvis with the most amount of room. When a baby is in a posterior position, which is when the babies back is facing your back, it can make for a longer and more painful labour.

Guiding your baby into the best position before labour can make for an easier birth. Take a look at this video which explains how to guide your baby into the best position for birth.
