I love this beautiful sharing of Kristie's as she talks about the moment she met her daughter. Due to complications and trauma from her first birth, Kristie chose to have an elective caesarean for her second child. It was very important for the birth to be calm and drama-free, yet for Kristie to stay connected through the whole experience. 

Her big beautiful baby, who seemed outraged to be born, was healthy and robust and Kristie was able to have skin-on-skin contact with her baby in theatre and also have their first breastfeed in recovery. Mother and baby weren't separated at all and as a result, the entire experience was positive, calm, full of love and connection.
